We found the best table near the koi fish pond. The sun is glaring at our side, so I wear my dad's cap until the sun stops glaring.
Finally, the sun is setting down, so I removed my cap. There's a lady in the restaurant who gave us some of the homemade pineapple tarts we saw earlier at the market. How nice of her :). Our dinner came at last. They're so delicious.
Oyster omelette
This is something like chicken curry but it's not spicy.
While eating our dinner, dad suddenly said there's an event going on outside the restaurant. So I went out to check it out. It was some kind of possession to celebrate Good Friday. And I realised the crowd were the people from St Paul's Church. And they took out the statues we saw earlier (see my part 1 review). But they only took out Jesus lying down and the Virgin Mary. And all are holding candles and saying one prayer which I couldn't hear properly.
Wow! What an event indeed. According to the lady who gave us the tarts, they were doing this for the first time after so many years. I almost drop my jaw. "Doing this possession for the first time?!!" I thought. They must be waiting to do this.
And it's a good thing we ate and stay behind so that we won't endure with the crowd and the traffic jam outside.
Well, my adventures are over for the day. We went back to our hotel tired and happy. I was happy and glad that it didn't rain and I got to see the possession for the very first time in my life, though I'm not a Catholic :).
It was really worth a trip. For those who haven't gone to Melaka yet, please do so. It's an attractive place for foreigners. I hope you enjoy reading my reviews.
