Wherever You Are

For those who have watch 'Pooh's Grand Adventure', you might know this song. This is one of the most favorites songs of all Winnie the Pooh movies. I use to watch this movie since I was a kid. As I come to this song, I didn't know it was sad cause it sounds like a sad song Pooh was singing. I couldn't understand the lyrics at that time. I don't know for most of you who cried during that scene.
What my opinion of this song is that Pooh was singing a sad tribute song to his best friend, Christopher Robin. Ever since he was gone, Pooh and his friends went off to search for him. But they couldn't due to the fact that the map Owl gave didn't know exactly where it's taking them, so Pooh gave up finding him. Poor Pooh :'(. Will they ever find Christopher Robin in the end? Well, see the movie to find out. There's no age limit for this show. Everyone can see it, whether you're young or old.

Here are the lyrics for the song:-

Come out moon
Come out wishing star
Come out, come out
Wherever you are

I'm out here in the dark
All alone and wide awake
Come and find me
I'm empty and I'm cold
And my heart's about to break
Come and find me

I need you to come here and find me
Cause without you, I'm totally lost
I've hung a wish on every star
It hasn't done much good so far
I can only dream of you
Wherever you are

I'll hear you laugh
I'll see you smile
I'll be with you
Just for a while

But when the morning comes
And the sun begins to rise
I will lose you
Because it's just a dream
When I open up my eyes
I will lose you

I used to believe in forever
But forever's too good to be true
I've hung a wish on every star
It hasn't done much good so far
I don't know what else to do
Except to try to dream of you
I wonder if you're dreaming too
Wherever you are

Wherever you are

Below is the ending of the song, but sung by different artists. Feel free to watch it :). Love the artwork.

Yue Xin's Birthday Party

Yesterday night, we were celebrating Yue Xin's 2 year old birthday party. Her actual birthday is 31 May. We decided to do it early cause she's going back to Bahau with her grandparents soon. We had lots of fun. My other cousins, Vickie and her brother, Willie, came too. Our relatives from Penang couldn't make it, sadly due to the fact that they'll be going off to Singapore to visit Universal Studios there during the school holidays. Though not the whole family, but only four of them are going. Poor Jia Min :(. But it's okay. We can bring her along if we're planning to go there :).
Oh yeah. We gave her a puzzle box and a Disney Princess magnetic book as her birthday gift. I'm glad she enjoys it.

Batik Trip

Last Saturday, the Jr's and Sr's of ECE went on a field trip to Muzium Tekstil Negara. When we're inside, we were separate into two groups. Each group has one lecturer. There, we took some good pictures of some of the beautiful batik and sculptures. Photos will be shown later once my friend sends me the photos.
After we see so many exhibits, the Jr's have to do some kind of waxing on the batik. But luckily for us, the patterns are all drawn out. So it's easier for us to do. Mine is a beautiful flower. Will show the picture later.
Then came lunch. But a few of us didn't go cause we weren't hungry. We went to 7-Eleven and bought some snacks. I bought myself a packet of Twisties and a Ribena juice box. My senses tell me that I should keep the Twisties for later.
When we all came back, all of us are taken to a room where we have to do weaving. I'm the only slow one in our table cause the threads are all tangled up. Grrrr!!! That was one activity I didn't enjoy at all.
At last came 3 pm. Before we go off, we got ourselves a group photo.
It was a splendid trip, except for the weaving. I didn't expect this day would go alright. Maybe next time I can tour my Libera friends to this museum :).

Teacher's Day + Shopping

I had two wonderful events I did today. First was the teacher's day at MCKL, then later went to Mid Valley with my family.

First, I'll tell about Teacher's Day.
Well, today is our 6th Teacher's Day celebration. We got ready our costume for the first performance. Before the celebration began, we arise for our national anthem which is 'Negaraku' and sing the college song. Then of course we had a prayer said by one of our seniors.
Our first performance was the creative animals. We're the gorilla team. Trust me, you don't wanna see me wearing that costume. He he! Then later, we had to sing one malay song called 'Guru Pembina Negara Bangsa'. We did well this time :).
Next was the Malay traditional dance done by two former seniors, who already graduated from MCKL. After the dance, there was a speech by Ms Moey, the principal of MCKL.
After the speech, there was the mime dance about preschool life, performed by our batch. Our group did the outdoor activity. We also did well too. Then there was a malay song this time performed by the seniors.
So that's all about the performances for today. Of course there are more speeches and then. I don't wanna go further to that :).
We had a big meal after the whole event was over.

Next is our shopping trip to Mid Valley.
I called my mom that Teacher's Day was over. She told me she's bringing along my aunt and two cousins, Jia Min and my favorite, Yue Xin. Yay!! We're going to Mid Valley.
At Mid Valley, we were having so much fun with little Yue Xin around. She's so happy back then. We head to KFC for their what-so-called teatime. It's a good thing they order the snack box. We also show Yue Xin how to dip french fries into a sauce, mainly mash potatoes.
After that, we went to Jusco for a walk and buy some supplies back. Then, me and Jia Min tried out the new Ireland Potatoes. It looks like french fries, but this time it's better than KFC's. It has sour cream on it. So delicious><. Hope to try them again. They cost about RM8.80.

Well, it was a terrific day for me :). I enjoy it much than ever.

Judah Ben-Hur Musical

Today we went to see this musical in our church called Judah Ben-Hur, directed by a mother and son, Ellen and David Sanborn. It was a fun musical. I enjoy it quite well. Sorry no pictures taken during the concert cause we're not allowed to have flash photography during the performance and we didn't have time to take any pictures or autographs (sad face). But I got a short but good review.

We arrived at FGA church around 7.30 pm, before the concert starts. We sit at the back row where we can see clearer. But somehow I can't seem to see quite clear due to my vision power.
So anyways, Elder Koh came up and told us the rules during the performance. Later, there was the prayer. And finally, the show starts :)!!
From my opinion, the whole performance tonight sounded good. The music sound so Jewish kind and cool to hear. Even the actors and actresses did so well tonight.
After the whole show was done, there was a testimony by David Sanborn, who played Judah Ben-Hur and then later Arts Sanborn.
When we came out, I bought the DVD of the concert tonight but live in Singapore. I also get to meet Sonia, who played Esther. I compliment her about the concert. And my, she was so tall.

It was a great experience for me and a great Mother's Day :). Now I'm tyring to target two concerts, which is the upcoming West End Musical performing Sound of Music and Libera.

Shi Shang Zhi You Ma Ma Hao

Since Mother's Day is coming, I want to share with you a very popular song in Mandarin. It's called 'Shi Shang Zhi You Ma Ma Hao' (Only Mothers are great in the World). This song can be heard during Mother's Day. I remember I used to hear this song during my childhood days. But I didn't sing it to my mom, since I don't know the lyrics back then. Ha ha!
Anyways, here is a video of the song, sung by a popular star in Malaysia, Crystal Ong. If you remember, she used to be in this girl group called M Girls, alongside with Queenzy and Angeline. This is when she was very young. I used to have her cassettes before. Enjoy!

Below are the lyrics and translation, for those who don't know Mandarin.

世上只有媽媽好
In the World only mothers are great.
有媽的孩子像個寶
A child who has a mother is like a gem
投進媽媽的懷抱 幸福享不了
In her embrace, extremely fortunate.

沒有媽媽最苦惱
Without a mother is bitterness to the extreme.
沒媽的孩子像根草
A motherless child is like a string of grass,
離開媽媽的懷抱 幸福那裡找
Away from a mother's embrace, luckless.

世上只有媽媽好
In the World only mothers are great.
有媽的孩子不知道
A child who has a mother does not know.
要是他知道
If he were to know,
夢裡也會笑
He would even smile in his dream.

My New iPod

I got an Apple iPod from my uncle who bought me the Libera Peace Deluxe album last February during CNY, if you remember from my other blog. It's not even my birthday yet. Ha ha! But anyways, I've always wanted an iPod or an mp3 player. Well, I got my wish :).

Doesn't it look great :)?

Lunch at Jack's Place

Last Sunday, we were inside 1 Utama, walking around for fun. We found a new restaurant called Jack's Place. We haven't tried their food yet and since they have set lunch, we might as well try it for the first time. The food was delicious. Here's what I called for my lunch in the menu:-

Cream of shitake mushroom soup. Yum!

Seafood au gratin.

Mango pudding for our dessert :). The ones inside are nata de coco.
