My Kpop Goodies

Last month, I went to Times Square with my friends. It was Friday so we have more time to spend and our class starts a bit later. It's a great opportunity to go shopping. I heard there is a Kpop shop there called "My Star Collection". So I decided to go there and check it out.  Luckily, it's opened for business because the time I went with my mom, it was closed. Maybe we came too early or the owners wanted to take a break for Christmas. I don't know. The shop has split into two shops. I look at the second shop first as the first one looks like it's closed. But in the end, I look at both shops. From the second shop, I bought two large Super Junior posters and a wrist band. Then, from the first shop, I bought a folder for my papers. Most of the goodies are Super Junior
This shop is a great place to visit for all Kpop fans. But it'll be boring for non-Kpop fans. Do go there if you're ever at KL.

Two large Super Junior posters. I bought one from the main group and one from their sub-unit, Super Junior M.

A Super Junior folder which I used to put in all my papers.

Two Super Junior wristbands which I wore to college almost every day now. In case you don't know, this is their official color.

Kpop Addict

So, you probably want to know how I became a Kpop addict, eh? Well, here's my story how I came to know Kpop music. It's gonna be long, so read at your own risk.
I knew Kpop music for quite some time now. It started during my high school days. My classmates all started singing "Sorry Sorry" by Super Junior. They kept repeating the same lines over and over again until I research their song on YouTube. They sounded quite good but I wasn't addicted to them or any of the Kpop artist yet as I was still new to their music. I also research on the song "Bonamana" also by Super Junior. Also another good song. But as the same, not that super addicted yet. Because I don't know the members' names yet.
Next, on the radio (Chinese radio), I heard a new song called "Roly Poly" by a girl group called T-ara. The song is quite okay.
Then, in college two years ago, our group were suppose to do a flash mob performance for a gathering. Our leader introduced us to two songs. One is "Bo Beep Bo Beep" by T-ara and the other is  "Binguel Bingeul" by U Kiss. Of course, things have all changed later. And in the end, we didn't do the dance like we planned out.
In October (2011), there was a concert by 3rd Wave, a Christian band lead by Pastor Johnny and a few Kpop artist, was held at my church, FGA. When I heard a former member of U Kiss named Alexander was coming, a light came into my mind when the name "U Kiss" was mentioned and thought, "Hey! The group he was in sang Binguel Binguel!" And that's when I started knowing U Kiss during that year. I enjoy watching their variety shows of which Alexander was still in the group at that time before he left.
I still like U Kiss throughout 2012 but somehow, I noticed that the new U Kiss focus on their Japanese activities most of the time. Of course, they still do concerts in other countries too. To be honest, I only like the old U Kiss better (where Xander and Kibum were in). The new ones don't interested me. Forgive me if I sound offended.
I was introduced by another famous Kpop group from my cousin, Big Bang! She told me they were coming to Malaysia for a massive concert at Stadium Merdeka. But unfortunately, the tickets were so expensive. And I didn't win the contest by PMP Ent. But that's okay. I wasn't upset because I knew Kpop was very popular here in Malaysia. So, they are sure to come back again :). After the concert, I only became a fan of Big Bang. Well, half V.I.P (Big Bang's fanclub name) fan.
On the same year (still 2012), I found a game called "Dreamboy: Kpop Dating Sim Game" (at least that's what they called it). G Dragon was in the game. So I decided to play that game just for fun by unlocking it. While playing, I got introduced by two new artists in the game, Nichkhun (2PM) and Kyuhyun (Super Junior). In the game, they ask me to know about their personalities. That's when I research on those two artist. I already know G Dragon's personality, so I didn't research on him that much. After playing the game, I research more on Nichkhun and Kyuhyun. Since I'm not that interested in 2PM, I research for Super Junior instead. I found out that Kyuhyun is the maknae (youngest) in the group. And my, his voice is so lovely and powerful. "No wonder SJ is famous," I thought. As I go through the members' names one by one, I started liking them.
From now onwards, I like Kpop music more than the English pop songs. In fact, I like all of their songs. And not only that, many of my friends are also Kpop addicts. That's why it's easier for me to talk about when it comes to hobbies.

That's my whole story. Hope you enjoy reading it :).
