Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 4

Hi there. Sorry for the late post. This will be my last write up for my holiday in Penang. Basically it's nothing much already since it's the last day spent with my relatives before going back to KL. After we checked out and had our lovely breakfast at Coffee Bean (we didn't went swimming that day due to the rain that morning), we went straight back to Butterworth.

My cousin invited me for a movie and bowling at Pacific Mall. And of course, playing games at the arcade. My cousin got a membership card, so we don't have to spend on tokens. How cool is that? I wonder if we can get a card to slot into the machines back in KL.

That's all about my holiday. Hope you enjoy reading my reviews :).

Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 3

Hello again. This time, it'll be on our own since our relatives will be busy with their own lives. In other words, family time!! We got up at 10 am because we were about to go swimming!! It's been a while since I dip into a pool.
Anyways, we had our breakfast by the poolside before going into the pool. The water was green in colour and it's cold. But it won't be so bad once you're inside :). Don't ask me why the colour is green, okay? My mom and I are the only ones who got into the pool. She taught me the proper way to swim throughout the day. My arms and back were tired but it was fun. We swam about 1/2 hours. Later, we went back to our room to shower. Afterwards, we drove to Gurney Plaza for our lunch and some more shopping. Ha ha! We have become shopaholics now! We had Japanese food and sushi for lunch. But it made us full in the end. After lunch, it's on our own. Basically just walk around the mall. I got myself a Kpop 2013 calendar. Yes, I'm already a Kpop lover. Well, everyone has to had a calendar for the new year. I met up with my parents outside Watson. We bought ourselves some Rotiboy and London chips.
Back in our room, we do our own things like reading a book, listening to music, watching TV, etc. Since there's no connection, I read a book instead to pass the time.
It was really raining heavily that night so we have to stick around inside the hotel for our dinner. Luckily there was a buffet restaurant at the lobby. That's where we had our dinner. We didn't take the buffet food but we called individual plate. I had some sandwiches since I'm full.
This time, I slept early that night since my eyes couldn't stay awake.

More in part 4.......

Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 2

Hi again. Super sorry for the late post due to the fact that there's no internet connection in my hotel room. In fact, there is but we have to pay RM5 per hour for connection. Fu yoh! Even data roaming is cheaper than that. Anyways, here's part 2 review:

We had a heavy breakfast near one coffee shop outside my cousin's house. Yeah, the usual. Wan tan mee, char kuey teow, and other hawker food. After breakfast, we head to the tailor to send our cloths for a new suit. Once that's done, we head back to the house, maybe do a little bit of our free time before lunch. For lunch, we ate some noodles. Now it's on our own. We follow the direction my aunt gave us to the hotel. Unfortunately, we got a bit lost in Georgetown. Hehe :P. And we got slightly frustrated. Anyways, we were settled at last in our hotel room. I like our room because it was connected between mine and my parents' room. This way, it'll be easier for them to check whether I'm okay.
After we freshen up, we wait for our relatives to come so that we can have dinner together. But unfortunately, they were caught in a jam. While waiting, we watched a movie. Once we're all together, we went down to have our dinner. A Chinese cuisine. We got to try the famous peking duck in the restaurant. So delicious ><. I even love the dessert in the end, which is Melon sago. After dinner, we went around Georgetown and end up stopping at a beach side outside Gurney Plaza. It was a beautiful night. Love the sea breeze. Perfect for couples walking in the night. I like the part where two people were fishing out in the sea at night. Once we're all finished for the night, they drop us back at our hotel and said our good nights.

Adventure continues in part 3.........

Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 1

Hi all. I'm at Penang again for the year end holidays. The last year's one is during Hari Raya holidays. For this year, we planned something new rather than just staying at my cousin's house throughout the week. Guess what? We're staying at a hotel at Georgetown!! Woo hoo!! I'll go into the part of the hotel stay later. For now, here's part 1 of my review. The photos will have to come later. So watch the space in each review ;).

I'm kind of settling in my cousin's house. Here's what happen today:-

We left our house around 9 am today for our breakfast. After breakfast and pumping of petrol, we're ready for the long  journey. As usual, part 1 is basically starting of our journey. So, there's not much of excitement. I don't have to tell about the travelling part.

We reach Penang at about 4 pm. My two elder cousins were not around cause they're back in their universities in KL having classes. Yeah, it's no fun without them. Anyways, we freshen up and do our own things for 2 hours before dinner.
We had dinner at Nando's inside Sunway Carnival Mall. After dinner, we walk around till 9 pm. There was some performance going on at the stage. I guess it's some music school kids performing Christmas songs and other random songs. And of course, there's 4 girls dancing to Gangnam Style! Woot woot! That song is already famous worldwide. Congrats, Psy :).

That's all for part 1. More excitement (hopefully) to come in part 2. Good night now :).
