Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 4

Hi there. Sorry for the late post. This will be my last write up for my holiday in Penang. Basically it's nothing much already since it's the last day spent with my relatives before going back to KL. After we checked out and had our lovely breakfast at Coffee Bean (we didn't went swimming that day due to the rain that morning), we went straight back to Butterworth.

My cousin invited me for a movie and bowling at Pacific Mall. And of course, playing games at the arcade. My cousin got a membership card, so we don't have to spend on tokens. How cool is that? I wonder if we can get a card to slot into the machines back in KL.

That's all about my holiday. Hope you enjoy reading my reviews :).

Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 3

Hello again. This time, it'll be on our own since our relatives will be busy with their own lives. In other words, family time!! We got up at 10 am because we were about to go swimming!! It's been a while since I dip into a pool.
Anyways, we had our breakfast by the poolside before going into the pool. The water was green in colour and it's cold. But it won't be so bad once you're inside :). Don't ask me why the colour is green, okay? My mom and I are the only ones who got into the pool. She taught me the proper way to swim throughout the day. My arms and back were tired but it was fun. We swam about 1/2 hours. Later, we went back to our room to shower. Afterwards, we drove to Gurney Plaza for our lunch and some more shopping. Ha ha! We have become shopaholics now! We had Japanese food and sushi for lunch. But it made us full in the end. After lunch, it's on our own. Basically just walk around the mall. I got myself a Kpop 2013 calendar. Yes, I'm already a Kpop lover. Well, everyone has to had a calendar for the new year. I met up with my parents outside Watson. We bought ourselves some Rotiboy and London chips.
Back in our room, we do our own things like reading a book, listening to music, watching TV, etc. Since there's no connection, I read a book instead to pass the time.
It was really raining heavily that night so we have to stick around inside the hotel for our dinner. Luckily there was a buffet restaurant at the lobby. That's where we had our dinner. We didn't take the buffet food but we called individual plate. I had some sandwiches since I'm full.
This time, I slept early that night since my eyes couldn't stay awake.

More in part 4.......

Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 2

Hi again. Super sorry for the late post due to the fact that there's no internet connection in my hotel room. In fact, there is but we have to pay RM5 per hour for connection. Fu yoh! Even data roaming is cheaper than that. Anyways, here's part 2 review:

We had a heavy breakfast near one coffee shop outside my cousin's house. Yeah, the usual. Wan tan mee, char kuey teow, and other hawker food. After breakfast, we head to the tailor to send our cloths for a new suit. Once that's done, we head back to the house, maybe do a little bit of our free time before lunch. For lunch, we ate some noodles. Now it's on our own. We follow the direction my aunt gave us to the hotel. Unfortunately, we got a bit lost in Georgetown. Hehe :P. And we got slightly frustrated. Anyways, we were settled at last in our hotel room. I like our room because it was connected between mine and my parents' room. This way, it'll be easier for them to check whether I'm okay.
After we freshen up, we wait for our relatives to come so that we can have dinner together. But unfortunately, they were caught in a jam. While waiting, we watched a movie. Once we're all together, we went down to have our dinner. A Chinese cuisine. We got to try the famous peking duck in the restaurant. So delicious ><. I even love the dessert in the end, which is Melon sago. After dinner, we went around Georgetown and end up stopping at a beach side outside Gurney Plaza. It was a beautiful night. Love the sea breeze. Perfect for couples walking in the night. I like the part where two people were fishing out in the sea at night. Once we're all finished for the night, they drop us back at our hotel and said our good nights.

Adventure continues in part 3.........

Holiday in Penang (2) - Part 1

Hi all. I'm at Penang again for the year end holidays. The last year's one is during Hari Raya holidays. For this year, we planned something new rather than just staying at my cousin's house throughout the week. Guess what? We're staying at a hotel at Georgetown!! Woo hoo!! I'll go into the part of the hotel stay later. For now, here's part 1 of my review. The photos will have to come later. So watch the space in each review ;).

I'm kind of settling in my cousin's house. Here's what happen today:-

We left our house around 9 am today for our breakfast. After breakfast and pumping of petrol, we're ready for the long  journey. As usual, part 1 is basically starting of our journey. So, there's not much of excitement. I don't have to tell about the travelling part.

We reach Penang at about 4 pm. My two elder cousins were not around cause they're back in their universities in KL having classes. Yeah, it's no fun without them. Anyways, we freshen up and do our own things for 2 hours before dinner.
We had dinner at Nando's inside Sunway Carnival Mall. After dinner, we walk around till 9 pm. There was some performance going on at the stage. I guess it's some music school kids performing Christmas songs and other random songs. And of course, there's 4 girls dancing to Gangnam Style! Woot woot! That song is already famous worldwide. Congrats, Psy :).

That's all for part 1. More excitement (hopefully) to come in part 2. Good night now :).

Dreamboy V.2 Game

Hey there, Kpop lovers (including me). How would you like to date your favorite idol virtually? Well, here is a dating game called "Dreamboy V.2". It's similar to any dating sim games (particularly Sim Girls). But one thing good about this game that there is no inappropriate scenes or bad languages. In other words, any age can play this game. So there's nothing to worry about, right? :) Thanks to Kpop Games for creating this fantastic game.
First, let's begin with the introduction. On the title card below, you'll see three idols: Nichkhun (2PM), G Dragon (Big Bang) and Kyuhyun (Super Junior). These are the idols you will date in this game. There is another version of this game, and it includes Kim Hyun Joong from SS501. He will replace G Dragon for that version. If you wanna play the game featuring Kim Hyun Joong, click here
You have 80 days to make either Nichkhun, G Dragon/Kim Hyun Joong (for V.2 B version) or Kyuhyun fall in love with you.
Now I'm gonna tell you about the walkthrough and some hints from this game.

You can click here to go directly to the game.

1. Getting Pass Offers
Oh wait! Before I explain the game walkthrough, there is something you should know. And that is getting pass the offers, or I rather say surveys. Basically, this game is not free and you need to do an offer in order to unlock this game. Some countries, like the USA and UK, have free offers. But in some countries you have to complete the mobile offers. For the mobile offers, it'll ask you to download some ringtones or wallpaper to your phone. Be sure that you have enough balance in your hand phones. If you choose the wallpaper offer, for example, just click any random picture and type in your phone number. Afterwards, you'll get a PIN code. Just type it in and voila! You've unlocked the game! Woo hoo! See, it's not that hard :). Same goes to the ringtones or any offers. But once you complete the offer, be sure to stop the subscription because it can charge you on a higher price for texting. The offers are different, depending on which country you live in. Don't worry. You'll only do the offer once. And the game will be unlock forever so that you can play the game as many times as you want.
Just a little warning here. After you have unlock the game, you might wanna keep your internet connection on the whole time because I've just realize that once you turn off your connection, you'll have to do the offer again. This happened to me three times. And I'm pretty sure you won't wanna waste your balance money just to complete another mobile offer, do ya? :)

Note: Please choose which version you want to play before you unlock any of them. For example, if you wish to unlock the one that includes G Dragon, you can only play that version of the game. If you want to unlock another version with Kim Hyun Joong, you have to do another offer. (I think you get the idea)

2. Walkthrough

Introduction
Now it's the walkthrough time :DD. After you click "New Game", you'll see a girl with long brown hair. That would be you. Type in your name and age. You can even put random name and age if you wish :). Then it'll ask you increase your strength, charm and knowledge. Keep an eye for how many points you have left. Once finished, click on the button on the right hand below to cruise into the game.
At the beginning of the game, you'll see yourself in a church, walking down the aisle, as if you're getting married. But you can't see who is your dreamboy. Ah! That's because you are in a dream and you have to find your dreamboy yourself. How? By playing the game, of course ^_^!

Starting the game
You'll wake up in your room to start the day. When you leave your house, you'll see a map with different location you can go to. Like the school, city hall, album mall, idol centers and many more. Even the idols' houses. But you can't go into their houses yet until they become your boyfriends.
These are the minimum requirements to help you to become friends, good friends and close friends with the idols.

150 exp - Friends
350 exp - Good friends
600 exp - Close friends

First, you'll start off as a stranger. So, you can't interact with the idols yet. You have to gain your strength, charm and knowledge by going to school to study, the city hall to work for money and the pub to either train your charm or strength. All these requires energy. So keep an eye for your energy number above you.

Events
Ah yes! In this game, you're gonna have to attend the events. Some are exciting events like Music Bank, Idol Photoshoot etc. that are not to be missed. But some are your exam dates. If you want to see which day are the events, go to your PDA on your top right hand corner and click on the "Event" button. You can look at it again if you forget. At the end of the day, there is a Prom Night. I'll tell you more about that later. You can also look at your PDA for help or tips on how to play this game.

Save Game
Always save your game so that you won't have to start all over from the beginning. This way you can pick up where you left out without having to start over.

Becoming Friends

Once you meet the requirement above, you can talk to any of the idols in the center. If one of them talk to you, TA DAH! You've become friends with that idol. Now aim for your next requirement for good friends.
After you became friends with one of the idols, you'll get a nice surprise. Each idol you're friends with have different surprises. So visit the centers every day for those surprises. Some are good but some are bad. And I don't have to explain the surprises. You're gonna have to play the game to find out more.

Becoming Good Friends
As usual, once you have enough exp, click on the idol to get his phone number. You'll finally get a call from him :). Or the other way round, meaning you can call him too. There is a mobile next to your PDA. If you get a call from any idol, be sure to answer the call for a chance of increasing your relationship with them. Be sure to buy the potion too for some fighting incident.

*Hint: If you can't remember the phone numbers, write them down each of the idols' h/p number because he'll most likely to ask you if you can remember his phone number. Even on dates.

Becoming Close Friends
It's the same like the previous two. He'll give you his birthday once you reach 600 exp and above. Now you are close friends with that idol and you're ready for your first date. Oh! Before you go for a date, talk to him to see which day he is free. And ask him about his personality (his favorite colors, blood type, height, weight etc.)

*Hint: Like the phone numbers, write down whatever he said when you ask him. He'll also ask you if you can remember his personality. If you are a fan of any of these three groups, then it's easier for you :).

Going On Dates
Finally, you're going on your first date with him. Put on your pretty dress and make up :). There are three places you can go for a date. The beach, the restaurant and the park. And you need enough money for your dates, because you are require to pay for the dates. To complete the date, talk to him first. That's why you need to remember his personality and phone number. You'll see a bar below his picture. Get all his answers right in order to boost his mood. Do not hug or kiss him or give him anything when the bar is empty or half way! Otherwise, he'll reject you. If you get some answers wrong, he'll also reject you, because he'll think that you don't know him well. If you do come to this, don't do anything else but leave. Don't be upset. First dates are not always perfect sometimes :). You can try again for a successful date. When the bar is full, you can give him gifts, hug him and finally....kiss him! Yay! You've succeeded the date and your idol has become your boyfriend. Now you can visit him at his house anytime you like. And you'll also get a token to buy the albums.
Oh yes! I think I didn't mentioned this earlier. There will be enemies who will try to ruin your date. Most common is the three mean girls you will see often after your date. And you have to beat them to protect your idol. What's good is that you just have to beat the enemy once and you win. There is a bar in the black box next to your enemy. Aim for the green area to win. If you run out of Hp, you can always use the potion.

*Hint: If you are against the three mean girls, you don't have to defeat all three of them. Just choose one that is easier to defeat. The easier one is the girl on your right because it'll ask you to defeat the torso where the green area is larger.

Maintaining Love

Now that you and your idol are officially a couple, what are you going to do? Very easy ^_^! All you need to do is to visit him everyday at his house, buy all three albums for him and go on dates with him a lot to boost up your exp. You can also play a quiz about the group he's in at his house. The picture above  shows you an example of what you can do in his house. Lol yeah. You can see G Dragon smiling at you (meaning he's happy to see you). Ha ha! Have good news. There's no bar when you visit an idol's house, unlike the dates. Which means you can kiss him as many times as you want. He'll just say "I love you". Aww! Isn't that sweet :)?
Once you give him all three albums, you can click on the "Marry" button. The message will pop out something like this: "^_^. ((whoever you visit) is smiling)". Even if you click on that button dozen of times, you still get the same message. If he smiles, you can marry him. If not, you will receive a game over on your final day.

*Hint: To marry your idol, click on the "Marry" button on Day 78, one day before the Prom Night. That way, you won't receive a game over so soon.

Prom Night

We're almost near to the end. Now is Prom Night. Well, basically, you just have to choose one of the three idols to be your partner for the prom night. But sadly, you can only choose one idol if you have all three idols as your boyfriends. So choose wisely :). In the end, you'll receive a wedding ring and your boyfriend whom you chose will ask you if you would marry him. Isn't that obvious? Just accept or say yes :DD! It's not every day you can marry a pop star ;). And I hear wedding bells ringing already.

End

Finally, it's your wedding day! *wedding music playing* It'll be on Day 80. You don't have to click on anything. Just watch a mini clip of you getting married to your idol. And yes, this ain't a dream anymore. Man, all the fangirls would be so jealous of you. Ha ha! And you'll love the ending theme.

That's all about my review of the walkthrough. Hope you enjoy reading it and happy playing. Any questions, you're always welcomed to leave a comment. Or on any of my previous post. Take note that all the pictures I've put above are just examples you'll find in this game. It's not necessary you have to follow what I played.

Oliver Twist Concert

Hello all. Super sorry for late blogging for this blog. It's been a while since I post anything here. Yeah, you could call this a 'late-July posting'. Anyways, things have been busy with schedule in college and finals. And there's nothing new to talk about recently. That's why. Well, now that I'm having my break, I could tell you about the whole concert experience of Oliver Twist by Wesley Methodist School.
This is my second time seeing their yearly annual concert. This year, they put up Oliver Twist. It's one of my favorite all-time classic musical. Of course, they change the whole production to Christianity. I don't know why but it's non of my business :p.
Anyways, the concert starts at 8:00 pm. So we arrived early to the school grounds. And the usual, we took our early dinner. My real plan was suppose to see this concert on Friday night since the Saturday one is all sold out. But I had to study at home for the first exam. Fortunately, mom told me I could sneak in and seat at the gallery side seat so I could see the whole performance clearly. He he.
Below are my photos from the whole performance. I didn't take much pics cause I also take some videos too. Videos will come later. Enjoy.

Singapore Trip

This trip is quite short only. I'm only there for Libera's concert at Esplanade Theatres. But of course I did some sightseeing there. Don't think I just go to the concert and then come back home without seeing anything in Singapore. No no :). Here's how it goes:-

Day 1:
We reach LCCT Terminal around 10 am. Our flight is at 12 noon. We should be reaching Singapore about 1 hour 45 minutes. So by plane is short distance whereas by bus is 5 hours. We decided to go on the day of the concert night.
Okay, we reach Changi Airport at 1 pm. After we took our luggage, we took a cab to our hotel, Marina Bay Sands, one of the most expensive hotel of all and very popular. They just commercialize this hotel on TV twice. Our room is nice too, except one problem: I had to sleep on a couch for the night. Ugh! So much for a six star hotel.
We were hungry after our journey, we went to the shopping mall linked to our hotel for our lunch. We all had thai food. It was very filling that I couldn't finish them. So I give up and drink my juice instead.

While we walk around the mall, we took photos too :). Before we go back and rest, we had to buy some light snacks for the night. We can't go to Esplanade Theatres on an empty stomach. So we did.
I couldn't nap in my hotel room so I listen to music from my phone.
Once it's 5 pm, I took a quick shower. I can still feel the tingles inside me. To past the time, I ate my pastry and watch TV.
Once at 7 pm, we left our hotel and off to the theatres we go. And Libera, here I come!!
Click here to see my review of the concert.
Okay! We're done for the day. My wish is complete :D. I couldn't sleep that night because of the whole event.

Day 2:
We woke up at 9:10 am. Couldn't go swimming because our check out time is 11 am. But we did went up to see the pool and the top view. I gotta tell you this. I'm feeling so dizzy every time we go up. Of course, we can't leave without taking pictures for memories.

After that, we went down to the lobby to check out. Me and my parents are planning to go to Orchard Road for some sightseeing before going back home. On the way, we were hungry. Finally after roaming around, we found Orchard Central and found AFC Studio too. Before we go there, we need to eat first. We had mediterranean food for lunch. It was so delicious until we're full.

After lunch, we head to the studio. And it was quite small but at least we get to see the real thing :). We also get to see a cooking class making key lime pie.

Finally, it's time to leave Singapore. Bye bye. I'll surely miss you. And I'll miss Libera too. But we'll be back someday.
