Lanterns + Mooncake Festivals

Okay, so you wanna know how the lanterns look like here in Malaysia? Well, I found some old lanterns in my store room. Although they look old, at least they're good for childhood memories :). Mom managed to add new batteries into my lanterns. Let me tell you a detail about the type of lanterns and what is Mooncake Festival.
There are two types of lanterns sold here in Malaysia. Candle type and Music type. The candle type is a lantern where you light up the lantern with candle, of course. Old style, I must say. Here's how the paper lantern (candle type) look like:-

The music type is quite modern and a lot of kids got those now. It's where you have the switch on the stick where you can on or off the music, any random music you get each lantern you buy. Some lanterns are really cute and pretty. Here are some of my photos I took just now of how the music type lantern look like:-

My 2 year old cousin, Yue Xin, got an angry bird (the tiny blue bird) lantern. But sorry, no photo of it yet. I'll try to get one later when I see her next time.
They always sell these at wet markets or supermarkets just before Mooncake Festival. And they're quite cheap :).
Mooncake Festival is a fun time where family spent at their relatives' house, playing with lanterns/fire crackers and eating delicious mooncakes. Here's a picture of how mooncakes look like:-

I remember one time at my cousin's house in Penang, we used to play fire crackers when we're young. Now that we're big, we don't play those anymore. I miss playing them. They let me take back one lantern back home to the city :). I chose the helicopter one (pic above).
